In early 2023, a mid-sized manufacturing company based in Pune sought to reduce its dependency on grid electricity and stabilize long-term energy costs. With high monthly energy consumption driven by continuous production shifts and office operations, the client decided to transition to renewable energy through a rooftop solar plant.
Prakash Electricals & Power Solution (PEPS) was contracted to deliver a complete 50 kW rooftop solar EPC solution — including engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning — customized for an industrial load profile.

Site Survey & Engineering Design
Conducted shadow analysis, roof load assessment, and power consumption study.
Designed module layout ensuring maximum exposure and efficiency using CAD tools.
Material Supply & Civil Structure
Supplied mono PERC solar panels with a combined DC capacity of 50 kW.
Mounted the array on a hot-dip galvanized iron (GI) racking system with high wind-load tolerance (upto 150 km/h).
Electrical Installation
Installed string-based on-grid inverters with built-in MPPT and anti-islanding protection.
Integrated the system into the factory’s LT panel with ACDB, DCDB, surge protection devices, and net-metering-compatible output.
Connected to the DISCOM’s net-metering point, allowing energy export.
Monitoring & Commissioning
Deployed Wi-Fi-enabled solar monitoring system to track real-time generation and system health.
Executed live testing and compliance checks with local DISCOM authorities for approval.
